Multifocal motor neuropathy is a rare autoimmune demyelinating disease affecting peripheral nerves with progressive course of the disease. The clinical presentation is slowly progressive with distal asymmetric limb weakness as well as muscle atrophy development within a few years. Whereas the occurrence of the disease is rare, it remains very often underdiagnosed what results in permanent and severe consequences for the patient. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment plays a crucial role for patients disability prevention and sustaining quality of life.
