Pathological changes of the nipple-areola complex are not very frequent cases in the common gynaecological practice. There are two possibilities that may occur:
1. the pathologic changes may imitate a carcinoma, but a disease is benign in its origin.
2. a dissease is a carcinoma, but the pathologic changes may imitate the benign condition.
The misdiagnosis in both cases may have a very serious impact on the health of a patient.
