Hormonal therapy is an inevitable part of infertility treatment. It is used at all levels of provided care: a gynaecologist, in specialized out-patient clinics for treatment of infertility and in centres for assisted reproduction. The treatment covers the adjustment of cycles, the treatment of hormonal dysbalance and the induction of ovulation. In assisted reproduction we use stimulation protocols for ovulation induction, a part of which gonadotropins and GnRH analogues, oestrogens and gestagens.
