Pathological implantation of the placenta is defined as a profound invasion of chorionic villi to the uterine wall. This diagnosis
is considerably connected with higher maternal and perinatal morbidity rate and is a potentially life-threatening
obstetric condition. If a diagnosis of pathological implantation of placenta is confirmed or suspected, a multidisciplinary
approach and individual timing of delivery is necessary. Based on our experience and knowledge, we introduce here
the management of pregnancy with pathological implantation of the placenta.
