Primary tumors of the CNS are serious medical, economic and social problem. The aim of our study is to follow up selected
epidemiological factors of the primary tumors of the CNS. Methods: basic statistical analysis of the data from
the National Health Information Centre which were obtained in the years 2003-2009. Results: from the results it can
be clearly seen that tumors of CNS are more frequent in the females compared to males. The incidence was increasing
during follow-up period, however mortality remained unchanged. The most frequent malignant tumors of CNS were
glioblastioma and astrocytoma.
