We analyze psychological and psychosocial factors which contribute to the quality of life in terminal phase of heart failure, during the waiting period and after heart transplantation. We emphasize these factors: stress factors before heart transplantation, predictors of successful transplantation and suitable coping strategies. We identify noncompliance as a risk factor of higher mortality after heart transplantation. Quality of life after heart transplantation and their components is the special area.
