Arterial hypertension (AH) is one of the main risk factors in cardiovascular diseases. AH is already diagnosed in childhood
and presents quite a frequent clinical problem. In the paper the authors described the specifics of this disease
in detail for the child age. They pointed out to prevalence and risk factors for AH in the child age and the importance
of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring in its diagnosis. At the end the authors pay attention to practical rules of nonpharmacological
and pharmacological treatment of AH in the child age.
