This part of publication gives an overview of the most common tumors and information about some rarer tumors in
newborns. The most common include teratomas, neuroblastomas, congenital leukemia, brain tumors and various types
of soft tissue tumors. Typical tumors of infants and young children as Wilms tumor, retinoblastoma and hepatoblastoma
are very rare in neonates. Most unfavorable prognosis is in leukemia and some brain tumors. Neuroblastomas
on the contrary tend to regress. Teratomas in the typical sacrococcygeal localization in newborns usually are not malignant.
After their radical removal, the prognosis is good, although in some children can remain later consequences.
