Endometrial cancer is the most common gynaecologic malignancy in the Slovak Republic. The prognosis depends mainly upon the stage of the disease. Occurrence in early stages is 75% and has favourable prognosis. The more advanced stage of the disease, the less efficient is treatment and probability of survival. Surveillance after the primary therapy is aimed at early detection of recurrences and their secondary treatment. Gynaecologists, radiotherapists and medical oncologists participate in the surveillance over patients with recurrences. Advanced stages require thorough interdisciplinary treatment and palliative care.
