This article analyses results of gestational trophoblastic tumours treatment in the Slovak Republic in the years 1993 – 2012. During the 20 years period 75 patients with gestational trophoblastic tumours were treated in the Slovak Republic. The curability rate of gestational trophoblastic tumours was 94.7 % (71 patients) and the mortality rate was 5.3 % (4 patients). There were 2 patients (2.7 %) with relapse of the disease successfully treated with salvage therapy. Chemotherapy was given to 70 patients, 4 patients were treated with radiotherapy and 20 patients underwent different modalities of surgical treatment. The curability rate of gestational trophoblastic tumours in Slovakia is comparable with that in other specialized gestational trophoblastic disease centres in the world.
