The authors present a case report of 42 year old woman with transformation of complete hydatidiform mole to invasive mole. The patient was treated with abdominal hysterectomy and the normalisation of β-hCG levels were observed 14 months after the surgery. Because the follow-up was performed outside the trophoblastic disease centre, the interpretation of the clinical behaviour and β-hCG levels were inappropriate. She died 5 years after the hysterectomy due to the intracerebral haemorrhage from metastatic choriocarcinoma.
