Congenital anomalies of the Müllerian duct are the group of genital malformations accounting for an incidence of 3-4%
in the general female population, in the group of women with the history of miscarrieges (at least one) up to 38%. The
most common and also most serious is uterus septus, which results from failed reabsorption of the midline uterine septum
between the two fused Müllerian ducts. Clinical manifestations of congenital Müllerian duct anomalies are not specific
and they can appear at any period of a female life. Most of these anomalies appear in the reproductive age of a woman.
The right diagnosis, classification and right therapy is the most crucial factor to improve a reproductive function
of an afflicted woman.
