Uterine myomas are the most common, benign uterine tumours. Clinical presentations include abnormal uterine bleeding,
pelvic pain, obstetric complications and infertility. The prevalence in infertile population is around 5-10 %. However,
the prevalence in infertile women, after exclusion of other infertility factors, is 1-2 %. Current management strategies
include standard surgical interventions. Today, methods associated with conservative approach are preferred
in indicated indicated case. The use of selective progesterone receptor modulators (SPRMs) is adviced, enabling pre-
-operative volume reduction of myomas or, in some cases, causing complete volume reduction and thus making surgery
unnecessary. This article gives a brief overview of the diagnostics, therapy and management strategies in infertile
patients with uterine myomas.
