In the professional literature, an increasing number of cases of cervico-isthmic pregnancies
is presented, which is linked with growing maternal morbidity. It is related
mainly to the increasing number of surgical performances in the uterus. The paper
informs about prevalence, classification, aetiopathy and diagnostic possibilities of
cervicoisthmic pregnancy, with emphasis on utilisation of sonographic examination.
