Some drugs can induce autoimmune disease like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), myositis, vasculitis or sclerodermas. In some cases incomplete picture of systemic disease of connective tissue (SDCT) is developed that cannot be included into any diagnostic criteria of any diseased unit of SDCT. More often than clinical manifestation of autoimmune disease, positivity of various types of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) occurs. In the past drug induced lupus (DIL) occurred more frequently after prokainamide and hydralazine. At present DIL is reported after antihypertensives, beta blockers, antiepileptics, anti -TNF therapy and other groups of drugs.
