Severe rhabdomyolysis is a medical emergency requiring prompt therapy. We describe a course of rhabdomyolysis complicated with renal failure in three patients. Rhabdomyolysis developed due to excessive activation of vegetative nervous system with distinctive shakes during delirium tremens, due to hypolipidaemic fibrate therapy and last patient suffered from rhabdomyolysis of unknown origin. Early treatment including massive volumotherapy, manitol and bicarbonate, was successful, renal function recovered in all three patients.
