Thromboembolic complications in malignant tumors belong to a paraneoplastic syndrome. In our case report we point out to Grawitz tumor, in which a chronic cough due to a successive pulmonary embolism was its first manifestation. A source of embolism was a tumor thrombus in vena cava inferior. The aim of our case report is to accent a need of concise and early differential diagnosis of cough, which can provide an opportunity for causal treatment. This is one of the ways for improvement of prognosis in cancer patients.
