Reasons of haemorrhage from orifficium of papila Vateri are heterogenous. This term includes haemorrhage from biliary tree and pancreatic duct, too. Blood is flowing out from orifficium of papila in endoscopy. Current symptoms are melena, haematemesis, biliary colic, jaundice. Most of these haemorrhages are iatrogenic, after various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (endoscopic papilosfincterotomy, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography and drainage). Other causes are on-penetrating abdominal wound, with injury of the liver, bile ducts or pancreas. Therapeutic method depends on location and character of haemorrhage. Methods of invasive radiology, endoscopy and surgery are applied in the therapy.
