Iatrogenic bile duct lesions lead to a significant increase of morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing operations on biliary tract, usually laparoscopic cholecystectomy. They include all biliary problems emerging after the interventions on the biliary tract and liver. The dominant examination in the diagnostics of iatrogenic bile duct lesions is ERCP, which also allows the therapeutic intervention. Surgical and endoscopic therapeutic procedures are complementary and equivalent methods to the treatment of iatrogenic bile duct lesions. Therefore, current treatment of biliary tract injury is an interdisciplinary problem. It requires the cooperation of the surgeon, gastroenterologist and radiologist. The case study focuses on the case of a young woman who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy, in which an iatrogenic bile duct injury with bile leak occurred. We tried to treat this lesion endoscopically. However, a surgical intervention was required due to some complications.
