Pancreatic carcinoma is the disease with the most adverse statistics of early diagnosis. At the time of diagnosis there is quite a small chance for a curative solution. Despite improving technological progresses, current diagnostic possibilities are still limited by late clinical manifestations of the disease. Even it is necessary to identify warning symptoms early and to choose a suitable examination modality, it is just an accelerated diagnosis and treatment optimalisation of mainly advanced stage of the disease. For diagnosis of early stages of pancreatic carcinoma we need to find a screening examination, which would have an acceptable price, widely available application in practice with a sufficient specification and sensitivity.
