Systemic treatment has been used in the adjuvant treatment of the early disease and in the treatment of metastatic colorectal
cancer. The new cytotoxic and biologic/targeted agents improved outcome. The patients with metastatic colorectal
carcinoma should be treated with more lines of systemic chemotherapy. The median overall survival of patients
with metastatic colorectal cancer after cytostatics and targeted drugs is about 30 months.
